Course Closed..................Again!!

This is really becoming frustrating now, over 30mm of rain has fallen onto the course over the weekend which then turned to snow over night. You can imagine what kind of a state the course is in, with a covering of snow, which is soaking wet underneath. I guess this is what happens when the UK is sitting right under low pressure, and temperatures don't really get above freezing. There is hope of a change to temperatures by Thursday  however more snow is predicted for Wednesday. We will try our best to get it open as soon as we can for you even if its just 12 holes. We realise that anything is better than nothing at the moment!
Looking to the future (Next Monday) We hope the snow/ice will clear so we can commence the gravel banding, its essential that we find the outlet drains which are situated in front of all the greens, which is why, probably by the next time you play there will be some red lines in front of the greens which will mark out the outlets for the gravel bander to run into.
I would love to get a nice turf tonic onto the greens as I have noticed some yellowing off, and a little bit of fusarium out there but its too wet to get the sprayer including 500litres of water out onto the greens at the moment.
Just something to bare in mind for Monday next week: The left hand side car park (as you drive to the clubhouse will be closed off. This is where we will be having our drainage stone (Lytag) dumped.  It makes sense to drop it in a nice flat open space where the artics wont struggle to get in and out of. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.
