Well thats brought a nice end to the greens maintenance week! I don't think i've ever known weather as cold as this in march. This snowfall has also confirmed that we made the right decision to suspend the sand injection until a later date when its warmed up. There is hope on the horizon, with it predicted to warm up a little toward the end of next week. But I don't think it'll be anything like the weather we had this time last year just yet! Today has seen the start of a massive tidy up of our workshop. With a heck of a lot of clutter that has built up over the years being separated into metals, and none metals with the none metals going into a skip, and the metals being saved to cash in on! So if anyone has a van or trailer we could borrow to carry the metal please let us know. It would be much appreciated.
We have also made the decision to cancel the Captains Vs Presidents competition on Sunday. Even if this snow magically disappears over tomorrow (which it won't) The course will be flooded and unplayable anyway. I know this sounds a little 'defeatist' but I think its best to make a nice early decision so you can re-arrange your weekend. Enjoy spending it with your better half!!
